i am loving these in my kitchen window right now, a great way to bring a bit of fall indoors!
{jack'o lantern}'s smilewe have yet to carve a jack'o lantern {still a bit early for us} so we carved one out of paper & it's being happily
displayed in our front window!
{faces in nature} cat's meowi was at a loss here :-P but whenever i thought of the subject matter i kept coming back to the tulip poplar leaf & how its shape resembles
that of a cat's facial features, so i decided to make my own face out of naturey bits... meooowwww!
{sunset} palace of the westokay so i cheated with this one a bit, but between all the rain & being sick this week, there were no beautiful sunsets on my horizon.
so i choose to pull one from the archives {cheating, i know} but i LOVE this image & wanted to share. another long exposure taken
this past summer on our daddies day on the bay beach camping weekend!
{warm} nourishmentthis was warmth several times this week, plain ole chicken noodle, ya know the kind your mother gave you when you were sick as a child,
the best kind of warmth & nourishment in my opinion, mmm mmm good!
and thanks to Ashley for hosting such a fabulous challenge every week
& Happy First Anniversary to her & hubby ♥
{Splash of Color Sunday} animals
pretty bird!
my littlest bean is obsessed with giraffes :)
and of course my animals, feeding the animals! oh & don't worry that sign doesn't say they can't feed 'em,
it's to show the kiddos not to have a closed hand when feeding 'em.
i also want to say a big THANK YOU to Jamie & Tara at Trendy Treehouse for featuring my baby as one their personal favorites for this week's
Shutter Love theme {babies}. So honored ladies, thank you so much!

{Shadow Shot Sunday Citar} heart's gratitude
"one of the powerful emotions of the heart is gratitude. as soon as your heart is touched by your breath, it is softened, and a softened heart is grateful. experience how the heart approaches life; it is profoundly grateful for all that is offered. the heart never complains; complaints come from the mind when its expectations are not met. the heart that is open accepts all that is given and gives all it contains." ~ Puran Bair

for those who care... date night was fabulous :) the play {Shipwrecked} at The Barksdale Theatre was very interesting & funny, plus it was really neat to see a play in general {though i was quite hesitant at first} i don't think i've seen a play since middle school. it was a little over ninety minutes, i was in complete awe that the main character {Mr. Louis De Rougemont} played by Joe Inscoe was on stage his entire performance, continuous {perfectly pitched & versed} dialogue & numerous {short on stage darkened} costume changes, & all involved {which was only about seven actors} made for a very colorful, animated & adventure filled performance! downside to sitting in dark theatre, one tends to want to fall asleep, so home we went! but not without a side trip to the market for a bit of redbox & food for the kiddos. i had to laugh though cause even on date night i still ended up at the grocery store some how :) no, this image is not from last night {don't have any unfortunately} but from another awesome date night we had, just a favorite of mine Ü
