Bench Monday: Rainy Day Dentist Edition

This morning littlest bean & I hit the dentists office! And of course on our way out the door it started raining cats & dogs, ugh! Upon arrival he was quite taken with the waiting room & toys. It wasn't until they called us back that I got the floor drop. Mommies you know what I mean... the minute I took his hand to lead him back, he dropped to the floor & the scared whimpers started :( It broke my heart but they had Dinosaur Train on in the room, I sat in the chair with him in my lap while they did the cleaning. He did exceptionally well, yes he cried but did not shove at their advances in his mouth & he didn't bite anyone, YAY!!! Once we were finished they gave him a monkey sticker & choice of toothbrush (both I picked out as he was quite scared of the dental assistant at this point), plus a tooth checker!! Then he received a special coin for the outside reward machines, we decided on a bouncy ball, he was quite smitten with his pink swirly ball :o)

This was shot after the visit, during our 30 minute lay over, as it was pouring buckets still on our way out!! The littlest bean is fine, smitten with all his rewards & napping as I write :-) Here's to smooth sailing dental appointments!! In his hands one toothbrush (brush teeth), one pink swirly bouncy ball, monkey sticker on shirt, & one "NO THAT'S NOT YOURS!!" toothbrush under the chair!! ;-P
